Four main reasons.

The climate, especially around Ethiopia, Eritrea and Somalia is so hot and so dry that it is almost impossible to grow crops.

Zimbabwe has destroyed what was once the breadbasket of Africa, what makes a country desperate for the food itself!

But are the two main causes:

The dominance of dictators and corruption.

And probably the most common cause of WAR!

The rich earth, decides their car partially on corn ethanol drive and eat beef instead of vegetables. The world has the technology and wealth to ensure that everyone has adequate food and medical care.

Makers to appreciate running international corporate profits to people. For them, the majority of the population on earth is not the people. If America was truly a democracy, there is a single payer universal health care and a more equitable distribution of wealth.

Adequate food is a human right, according to the United Nations. It is regrettable that the ruling elite has decided that it was not.

Population and agricultural land. Hundreds of thousands of people were in the desert of the Sudan and Ethiopia is an obvious cause and the visual effect is. People expect the international grain sheet rather than in the farmland in the quality or increase in your own kitchen.

Too many people, the food is not enough. Come in view of the difficulties and the poverty of their babies, why do you have any more children? I can understand that.
